The moment has arrived, the day when the baby turtle is going to emerge from its egg and face the outside world.
Está asustada.
She’s scared.
Debe salir a la superficie y luego correr con todas sus fuerzas por la arena, sin detenerse, hasta llegar al mar;
She must make her way to the surface and then run with all her might across the sand, without stopping, until she reaches the sea,
enfrentándose en su camino a posibles depredadores.
facing possible predators along the way.
The baby turtle knows that this is the only path to her freedom.
So, she gathers her courage and, with her little flippers, emerges from the egg and begins to climb.
Finalmente, ve la luz.
Finally, she sees the light.
Suddenly, a giant seagull lands beside her.
Asustada, se queda quieta, inmóvil.
Terrified, she stays still, motionless.
The seagull flies off, chasing after another turtle heading for the sea.
The baby turtle starts running with all her might.
She watches as the seagulls catch other turtles around her.
She’s not far from the sea now.
She closes her eyes for a moment and keeps running without stopping.
As soon as she enters the water, the waves shake her and she loses control.
¿Esto es libertad? Se pregunta.
Is this freedom? She wonders.
She decides to trust and lets herself be carried by the waves.
Unos minutos después, ha llegado a mar abierto.
A few minutes later, she has reached the open sea.
Siente paz. Todo está en calma.
She feels peace. Everything is calm.
Bebé tortuga sabe que es libre.
The baby turtle knows she’s free.
Before her lies the vast ocean, full of infinite possibilities.
Moral: Freedom lies on the other side of your comfort zone.
To reach it, just like the baby turtle, it’s necessary to go through discomfort and overcome fear.
