Why can I help you?
Hola! Soy Raquel. Languages have always been my passion, but traditional methods left me feeling stuck and frustrated.
That experience shaped my mission: to help people speak Spanish with confidence, fluency, and ease, because I believe learning a language should be fun, exciting, and rewarding —not a burden.
With 13 years of experience, including teaching at Queen Mary University of London and Newcastle University, I revolutionized language learning with the Story Method®—an approach that brings Spanish to life through immersive stories.
In 2021, I founded Spanish Camino to help learners like you spark your Spanish skills and enjoy the process every step of the way.

It gets more real
I had taken other courses, but it always ends up with me kind of giving up because I’m not motivated, and that’s because it has been a lot of just the grammar, grammar, grammar…and what I really, really like about this course is how the grammar is mixed with the speaking, and we are forced to speak, so the way that it’s combined it’s really, really nice. So it gets more real.
I like the fact that all the Spanish is useful
I can go out and use it that very day normally, and whatever level you are at, you feel it’s okay, so it keeps you encouraged and keeps you going. Definitely, I would recommend it. There are so many resources on the platform, so you can keep going to things when you need additional information. You don’t get overwhelmed, but there is enough support that you keep engaged in the program. I’m finding the program very enjoyable. The lessons are the perfect size, and all the homework and activities are really fun, so it keeps you engaged in the process.
